children’s ministry
we believe that spiritual formation starts young and it should be full of joy
We’re committed to creating safe, engaging environments where kids can have fun while learning about God, discovering His love, and building a faith that lasts. At the same time, we know that adults grow when they invest in others. That’s why we invite volunteers to walk alongside kids—not just to teach, but to be transformed. Whether you’re a child or an adult, we believe God meets us when we show up with open hearts and curious minds.
The Heart Behind Discovery Children’s ministry

Classes
Each classroom is led by adults who have been carefully screened and background-checked to ensure the safest environment possible. No matter the age group, you’ll find fun, laughter, meaningful discussion, and space to explore the claims of Christ and your personal walk with Him.
-
Our nursery provides loving care for your littlest ones in a peaceful and nurturing environment. With cozy spaces, rocking chairs, baby swings, and age-appropriate toys, your baby will be cared for while you enjoy the service. A crib is available if your child needs a nap.
-
For our newly mobile toddlers, this class offers plenty of toys and books, along with simple Bible stories and songs that help introduce God’s love. We also provide a highchair table for snack time, helping little ones feel comfortable and cared for.
-
This class blends active play with early spiritual formation. Kids enjoy story time, crafts, songs, and simple memory verses in a fun and structured setting designed just for them.
-
Our preschoolers start the morning with classroom activities and then join our elementary classes for a fun worship time. They’ll return for a large group lesson built just for their age—engaging, thoughtful, and full of movement.
-
At this age, we believe church should be fun and meaningful. Through hands-on activities, games, crafts, and interactive lessons, kids begin to build a strong foundation of biblical truth—while having a great time.
-
These elementary students dig deeper into faith while still engaging through fun. With active lessons, creative projects, and time to reflect, they’ll begin seeing how the Bible connects with their everyday lives.
-
Preteens often wrestle with big questions—and we welcome that. This classroom is a safe space for older kids to explore God’s love, express doubts, and grow in confidence through thoughtful discussions, community, and creativity.
-
We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive. If your child would benefit from extra support, we offer a buddy system to help them participate alongside peers in a way that works best for them.
-
If your family attends both services, Club O gives kids a break from repeated classroom content. They’ll enjoy snacks, games, outdoor time, and an episode of Adventures in Odyssey while continuing to build relationships with peers and leaders.

Children’s ministry is offered during both Sunday morning services at 9:00 and 10:45. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early if you have kids to check in.
-
If it is your first Sunday with us, please go to the new family check-in podium located in the lobby. There you will be greeted by a volunteer or staff member who will get your child(ren) checked in and answer any questions you may have.
-
Our check-in system prints a sticker for your child to wear, as well as a label for you to hold on to. Not only is this system used for security when picking up your child, but the parent label will have a unique code printed on it that will appear on the screens in the auditorium in the event your child needs you.
-
Our check-in system prints a sticker for your child to wear that matches with a parent label you will use to pick up your child from the classroom. Our volunteers are throughly screened, background checked, and trained in our evacuation and lockdown procedures.
-
Absolutely! Discovery is passionate about providing an inclusive environment for children with Special Needs to participate on Sunday mornings alongside their peers. If your child needs assistance to participate in the classroom, we offer a buddy system.
-
Your child will be introduced to the love of Jesus through age-appropriate lessons, activities, and worship. We use engaging, biblically grounded curriculum designed to help kids understand who God is, how much He loves them, and what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Each week includes hands-on learning—through stories, games, crafts, and music—because we believe that faith should be both fun and formative. Our goal is to help kids build a faith that lasts, while creating space for honest questions and personal growth at every stage of their journey.
