Jesus taught that leadership was fundamentally an exercise in servanthood. This posture begins with listening to every party involved in order to understand and lead not only with effectiveness, but love. Our elders believe that their job is to serve the lead pastor and staff as they serve the congregation. In turn, we trust that the staff and lead pastor are listening to the congregation and are taking that information to the elders who are taking it to God and expectantly praying for His leadership.
